EARL OKIN / JACK WHITEHALL / ROLAND GENT / RYAN GOUGH
Earl Okin is one of those rare performers..... a true original!!! Genuinely versatile, his talents range from that of a fine Singer-Songwriter, (in styles ranging from chart orientated tracks to the classiest of Jazz-Standards, via authentic Bossa-Novas), to that of Pianist, Guitarist, world class Jazz-Singer, as well as his unique standing as ' Vocal Trumpeter, Trombonist and Clarinetist'.
"Forties throwback Okin is a true original; a distinctive, eccentric figure on the stand-up circuit since before such a phrase even existed." Chortle review
Jack Whitehall
'A brilliant command of the language, able to conjure up just the right image at the right time, and a world-weariness beyond his years...He shows signs of great potential' Chortle
Roland Gent:
Holsten Pils FHM comedian of the year finalist 2004
Manchester City Life Comedian of the Year Finalist 2004
Winner of Comedy Store Gong show December 2004
"Several times Roland had the audience gasping for breath as superbly weaved his way through his act. Roland left the stage with a great audience reception and rightly so, this man rocked." - locknloadcomedyclub.com
Ryan Gough performed his first gig in December 2000, jumping up on a comedy club stage to deputise for his mate who 'bottled it' at the last minute. As the compere introduced his nervous friends name, he bolted into the Gents and Ryan took the mike and treated the small Birmingham crowd to an improvised routine about the boredom of his job at the time.
"A powerful stage presence, Gough can quickly fire a room with energy, which makes him especially useful as a compere.Material-wise, he’s solid, with the strongest gags directed at his own stature and demeanour - especially how his burly look doesn’t match his friendly matter". Chortle
